P2b potential hazards / risks

Meaning and Purpose : In this section, I will list out all the hazards that can happen during the filming process.

As filming process require a very long process to finish. It is very important to identify any risks that I will be facing while filming. Below is the risk assessment, I had listed out everything risks that could possibly happen while filming at both indoor and outdoor, the chance of risk going to happen, consequence and how to prevent it.

Once the risks is been identify, it helps me to reduce chance of being injured, property being stolen or damaged and improve the quality of the footage.

As all the filming were done at the school area. The health and safety issue was the least concern for me as medical centre is just around school. If the actors get injury, I can bring him to the medical centre immediately. Howeve, one of the biggest issue I have to face while filming is the weather. As nearly half of the filming process will be done at the outdoor environment. I have to stay alert with the weather as the weather here is very unstable. I had kept updated with the weather forecast to ensure the filming can be done smoothly.

When the day I was filming. The weather was great, it was slightly winder than usual. The screenshots above shows how the weather be like when I was filming.  If the weather suddenly turn bad, I have to stop all the filming and stay in a safe indoor environment as both actor and camera stuff are number one priority.

In the film, I had took quite a lots of shot with boxing as I think boxing will strongly attract the audience who will watch this genre of advertisement. To achieve this scene, I had asked the actor week before the filming start does he know anything about boxing. Unfortunately the actor doesn't know how to box, therefore I had kindly asked a thai boxing coach from our school to give the actor a quick tutorial lesson. It is very important for my actor know how to box correctly as boxing is a very dangerous sports. Actor has high potential to injury himself if he doesn't know anything about boxing and box while filming.

After the quick tutorial lesson, my actor is so much more confidence and able to punch correctly in the film. It reduce the chance of him getting injury.

The number below is the emergency service nearby in Canterbury. If something goes badly while filming. I have to phone them and help us if necessary.
